We owe everything to God, our creator, for our very existence. If God’s masterful hands had not created our ancestors our very existence would not be known. It is good that we seek to expand our knowledge of their lives so that we may better understand our own. God made them, body and soul, and their legacy has enriched our family’s heritage. We must learn from them, from their mistakes as well as their successes; from their tragedies as well as their triumphs; from their sins as well as theirs virtues; from their hopes as well as their fears; from their fortunes and their blessings. We must embrace and celebrate our family heritage for nothing or no one can ever change this fact.

Time is moving along quickly. It seems like yesterday that we were praying in the new Millennium! The 2001 Gandy Family Reunion will be held in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. We are looking forward to hosting this spectacular event. The Family Reunion will be held on

July 3rd, 4th, and 5^th of 2001. We are planning three days of family entertainment.

This year’s theme is "Gandy’s - Stay Connected". We are in the process of researching additional family history. We have developed a Gandy website.

To help defray the cost of the family reunion, the family fee is broken into the following

sub-divisions:

For a family of 2 the cost is $20.00

For a family of 3 the cost is $30.00

For a family of 4 the cost is $40.00

For a family of 5 the cost is $50.00

Larger households must add $10.00 for each addition person beyond 5.

The costs of the hotel, T-shirt, banquet and other activities are separate.

We are still in the planning stages. We will send you more particulars after the New Year.

If God's merciful hands' shine upon our family, we will have the opportunity to come together and foster a renewed sense of kinship and lineage. Our joyful family reunions have been a promenade that has affirmed our heritage throughout many generations.. Psalms 133:1 says Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! We will embrace and celebrate our family heritage for nothing or no one can ever change this fact

Dear Family Member:

It is almost time for the 2001 Gandy Family Reunion. This year's theme is "Gandy's Stay Connected". Our colors are burgundy and white. The Pittsburgh chapter has planned a wonderful, fun-filled reunion for the whole family to enjoy. We truly encourage that if at all possible, please plan to attend. We have reserved a block of rooms at the Holiday Inn, Monroeville, PA. It is your responsibility to reserve your rooms. We have a special rate of $69.00 per night. Please refer to the enclosed brochure and card to make room accommodations. Hotel reservations must be confirmed by May 18, 2001.
